Macromedia ColdFusion MX The best just keeps getting better. ColdFusion MX is now available for you to experience. The brand new redesigned, replanned, rearchitected, and rebuilt product is the most significant and radical ColdFusion since the product was created some seven years ago.

Built on open standards, providing access to the worlds of Java and .NET, making XML usable and accessible, providing object-like building blocks for structured code reuse, making Web services both easy to use and create, compiling (instead of interpreting) your code, facilitating seamless client-side Flash support, and much more all make this the ColdFusion upgrade that will change the way you build and deploy applications.

To help you get started with ColdFusion MX, here are some resources that I hope you'll find useful and informative. And as always, I welcome your feedback.

Books
Lots of new books (on ColdFusion MX) are on the way including revisions to the best-selling ColdFusion Web Application Construction Kit and Advanced ColdFusion Application Development, as well as brand new books on ColdFusion+Flash, ColdFusion+J2EE, and Content Management with ColdFusion. Watch this space for more information coming shortly.

E-Learning (Flash based)
ColdFusion MX User Defined Functions
User Defined Functions (UDF's) were first introduced in ColdFusion 5. ColdFusion MX provides a whole new way to create UDF's making the process both simpler and far more powerful. In this lesson you'll learn what UDF's are and how to write them in ColdFusion MX.

Preparing for ColdFusion MX
ColdFusion MX, the product formerly known as "Neo", is here. This major upgrade to ColdFusion is the most significant since the products creation seven years ago, and you should plan on migrating to ColdFusion MX immediately. In this lesson you'll learn key points that will make your upgrade and migration as simple as possible.

Using Web Services
Web Services are all the rage right now, and ColdFusion MX makes Web services incredibly usable. In this lesson you'll learn what Web services are, how they work, and how you can take advantage of this exciting new technology.
