AIR 3.6 Beta is now on Adobe Labs. Included in this new release is the ability to package and load multiple SWFs (which provides developers with better memory management by allowing them to load the assets they need dynamically at ANY time from multiple SWFs, and not have to load them all up-front).

Adobe Edge is a new web motion and interaction design tool that allows designers to bring animated content to websites, using web standards like HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3. We first debuted Edge at MAX 2010, and we've now released Preview 1 on Adobe Labs. The plan is for Edge to be updated regularly so as to add new functionality, stay ahead of evolving web standards, and incorporate user feedback to provide the best functionality and experience possible. eWeek has listed their Top 10 Hottest Projects on Adobe Labs. I'm particularly proud of the top 3. #1 is Adobe AIR Launchpad (created by our own evangelist team), #2 is Packager for iPhone (yep, some people apparently really want to build apps for iOS), and #3 is ColdFusion Builder 2.

Flash Player 10.3 beta includes new privacy protection features as well as support for acoustic echo cancellation and improved auto-update.
Wallaby prerelease is an experimental technology (first sneaked at MAX 2010) that converts the artwork and animation contained in Flash Pro (FLA) files into HTML.

ColdFusion Builder 2 Public Beta Released

Back when we first announced ColdFusion Builder, we explained that we planned to revise the tool more frequently than we do ColdFusion itself. And now the public beta of ColdFusion Builder 2 is on Adobe Labs. ColdFusion engineering team member Ramchandra Kulkarni has posted an ADC article entitled What's new in ColdFusion Builder 2.

Molehill On Newly Launched Adobe AIR And Flash Player Incubator

The Adobe Flash Platform runtimes team has launched the Adobe AIR and Flash Player Incubator program, a new place on Adobe Labs for them to share with developers features that are under development or under consideration for inclusion in future versions of the runtimes. The first item on the site is Molehill, a new set of low-level, GPU-accelerated 3D APIs that enable advanced 3D experiences across devices through the Adobe Flash Platform runtimes.
