This one sent to me by Terrence Ryan. Maramushi Newsmap is an application that visually represents the contents of the Google News news aggregator. The UI is all Flash, and the back-end is ColdFusion MX. Very cool app indeed.
I agree, very cool. I can see their point that it doesn't display the news without bias. For example, if there are 5300 news reports saying that the Iraq war is a mistake, this app will show that story as a 'huge' story. But rather, its just that 5300 editors are printing that story and thus showing a bit of their bias.
