But who is he? Because AFAIK Adobe Poland is selling boxes only...

Which is why we need an evangelist there! :-) Expect to be hearing lots more about Flex and AIR and more in the near future.

Well, I'm not privy to Adobe internal operations, but I'm assuming there was a need to evangelize Adobe products in a large (40 million) East European country with a young, well educated workforce and a growing economy. With that need in mind, I am further assuming Piotr applied for the position and was deemed the best person for the job.

I'm not sure you have to *BE* someone to get an evangelism job at Adobe.

Na Zdrowie.

@Ben: why not evangelizing CF there? Is it because most people who knew CF in Poland are actually working for companies in UK and USA? And does it also mean Wimal is finally loosing its position on that market? Will there be a chance to finally see in Poland?
# Posted By radekg | 9/9/08 4:20 PM
@radekg: I'm afraid Ben might not know Wimal so if you have any questions about Adobe's presence on polish market feel free to contact me. You can find my email on my website.

He'll need to learn CF to do that, and I am sure he will in due time. I am not familiar with Adobe personnel or practices in Poland. And David is correct, we are building out our evangelism team throughout the region. We already have team members in Romania, we are about to launch activities in the Czech Republic, and we are actively recruiting in other countries, too. And if you know of anyone in Russia who'd make a good evangelist, let me know!

Would the former Soviet satellite state of Hungary do?

If I find the right person, then sure, anything is possible. If you have an idea, e-mail me.
