Hahaha - I did an online presentation on "new features in CF8 you may have overlooked" just a couple of weeks ago. I believe it was recorded - will have to see if it worked. I covered most of the things Charlie mentioned and a few more besides.

If I may, since people may see this entry and be interested in still more hidden gems in CF8, for those who don't know it, I did a presentation on several dozen more:
But Charlie G's article certainly is cool to see, as it's able to expand more upon the ones he does cover. Great to see more article-length content from other publishers, too. :-)

my article was by no means meant to be all encompassing. just a quick overview :)
but as you alluded to, what i think is really cool is that publishers are starting to show an interest in CF (again). i didn't approach packt... they approached me (which was also pretty cool <g>). not only are they showing an interest in CF articles, but they're publishing a CF book: http://www.packtpub.com/coldfusion-8-developer-tut... . i don't know the story behind the book (as far as who approached whom), but -very- nice to see a publisher being proactive about getting some coldfusion-related content. i hope to be able to provide them with some more down the road :)
