Simon Bisson On The Future Of ColdFusion

I got the chance to chat with Simon Bisson at MAX Milan, and he shares his thoughts over at IT Pro on the future of ColdFusion in a piece entitled The ColdFusion Renaissance.

gah... i know it's very OCD of me, but it irks me to see ColdFusion spelled as "Cold Fusion". repeatedly :)

I. If I recall correctly, the official spelling of ColdFusion has changed a time or two over the years. I actually have a solution for this issue, which brings me to my second point

II. I am of the opinion that it's time to change the name. Not drastically, and not in a way that looses touch with CF's heritage. But I think Adobe should drop "cold". And simply go with "Fusion".

First of all, this would brand very nicely with Flash & Flex. Both in alliteration and in thought. "Flash, Flex, and Fusion"...it just flows nicely.

(Though it's doubtful Adobe would ever release Fotoshop to further branding.)
