Thoughts, ideas, tips, musings, and pontifications (not necessarily in that order) by Ben Forta ...
NOTE: This is my personal blog, and the opinions and statements voiced here are my own.
I recently ran a survey on Australian ColdFusion Developers and 90% are on version 7.
75% of people plan on upgrading to CF8, 22% unsure at this stage and only 2% said no, I think those numbers are very good considering it's not even released. It shows that Adobe and the team have already done a good job of communicating the new features.
Hard to believe it's been twelve years! I have the original CF product (spiral bound manual and 3.5" floppy disks) on my bookshelf. I have built my online programming career on this product and have used it almost exclusively that whole time!
Kevin, nope. we celebrated the 10th birthday on July 13th as that was the only date to get everyone together in Newton. But, as per JJ Allaire, the official birthday is July 10th as that is the day (back in 1995) Cold Fusion 1 was released.
And CF8 is by far the best release ever.

Looking forward to the next 12 years.
