Nice but I really don't understand why they need CC information for a free hosting account.

Does this mean that sharing code (and thus publicly announcing that you are part of the beta) doesn't violate the NDA? You know, hypothetically speaking.

Adam, anyone can write and share code now. Discussions on the beta forums and anything non public is still under the NDA, but CF8 is now public and you can write and share code as you see fit.

Ben, can we install CF8 beta on our production server to show some new features to our clients with sample applications?
# Posted By Rasim | 5/30/07 4:48 PM
Rasim, as per the FAQ:

Can I use this software in production to run my internet application?
No, this public beta is for evaluation and testing purposes only. Please see the End User License Agreement in the product installer for complete details on acceptable uses of this release.

So I guess you can show it to them on a development bx or a laptop you use for demos, but not on production boxes.

I can understand why they want my credit card for overages or to verify the order but why do I HAVE to give Adobe my contact information?
