Microsoft Pays Us A Compliment

I get e-mails from recruiters pretty regularly, and I generally pay no attention to them (I like what I do and am not planning a job change any time soon). But this morning I received an e-mail from a Microsoft recruiter that caught my attention because the detailed message explained that they were specifically contacting Macromedia employees. So, I replied, and said that while I was not interested in a position right now, I was curious as to why they wanted Macromedia employees specifically. And the single line response (copied and pasted as is, complete with the typo) was:

Because of the great dev experience Macormedia employees have

Thank you Microsoft, the compliment is greatly appreciated!

Kudos Ben. But we knew all along Macromedia builds some amazing applications that are actually enjoyable to work with in our day. ;o)

So they're poaching Adobe for Macromedia employees. Neat.

Psst... edit your original post... there's a typo .. Macormedia... =)

Rick, nope, not my typo, that's a copy-and-paste as received from the Microsoft recruiter. :-)

Something is in the wind.

Here in Australia Microsoft have employed a well known CF person to recruit CF people over to MS products, he haunts the forums and while he does it openly I have concerns about Microsoft's agenda.

Recently he offered the Microsoft Theatre to run the Coldfusion usergroup in, this seems very strange to me, it's a shame that Adobe don't step up to the plate, there are already enough CFers gone to .NET

I was wondering what you thought of all this Ben, is there something brewing in MS?

Regarding the typo... now *THAT* is funny.

Doesn't Adobe also recruit people with experience at MS? If they don't, they should... I'm sure they do though.

I don't think the conspiracy runs that deep Dale... Unless he "haunts" you in your sleep too? :)

Interesting email though Ben... the timing seems convenient, particularly with CF8 around the corner. Adobe (or any company) need more people like yourself, and MS knows it, those sneaky buggers ;)
