Charlie Arehart Apache Derby Resources

ColdFusion 8 ships with an embedded Apache Derby engine, which is used by the ColdFusion example applications, and can also be used for your own applications (and indeed, is used for all example applications in the CF8 edition of ColdFusion Web Application Construction Kit).

Information on Apache Derby can be hard to come by. And so Charlie Arehart has started compiling Apache Derby resources (from a ColdFusion perspective). You can check out Charlie's collection of explanations, answers, and links at his Getting Started with the Apache Derby Open Source Database in CF8 page.

I'm Back Up

Due to scheduled network and server maintenance (in the wee hours this morning) some of you may have had problems getting to my web server. Part of this change required DNS changes too, and so it is possible that some of you may still have difficulty getting to the site for the next few hours (as DNS changes propagate). If you do run into issues, please let me know, and I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Oh, and a big loud thank you to the IT guys at HostMySite for accommodating all of my infrastructure requests, and for getting these changes made so quickly and efficiently.
