Epilepsy Foundation Helped By ColdFusion MX 7

The Epilepsy Foundation is the national voluntary agency solely dedicated to the welfare of the over 3 million people with epilepsy in the U.S. and their families. The organization works to ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; and to prevent, control and cure epilepsy through research, education, advocacy and services. And the extensive Epilepsy Foundation web site is powered by ColdFusion MX 7. Thanks to John Farrar for this link.

Thats great! At first glance I thought of OSCommerce. But it's not OSCommerce.

Looking at source code I see:
Page generated 2007-01-12 17:03:33 by CommonSpot Version 4.6.0.27 (2005-11-08 16:00:00)

CommonSpot is the CSM, I wonder if they use Dreamweaver though.

I was the Director of Web Architecture at the EF for 5 years. The site is built on the Commonspot CMS, but there's also a lot of custom CF apps tied into it. We were cf based from the time I got there in 2000. Cf4 I think was on it when I started. We implemented the CMS to allow our affiliates to be hosted on our main website. They are all independently operated so you can imagine the challenges, but it was pretty successful, there are over 40 separate affiliate sites in that site. Anyway, yes we used Dreamweaver for some of the custom CF, but also Homesite+ and Coldfusion Studio.

Thanks for featuring the site Ben.
